The show in question is being run by the other woman who uses the Ely studio. She had to pop in to pick up some props while I was there today, and seemed quite bemused at all the media attention the show was getting.

Woo! Midway is mine!
I am currently the high bidder on a bottle of Midway. I can't sit on the computer and make last minute bids because a) my internet connection is shit and b) I'll be in class. Might just have to put in a maximum before I leave and cross my fingers, which worked with Brides of Dracula.
Classes are all finishing this week, and I seem to be doing sticks every day. There's a hafla on Saturday, I've dragged out an old drum solo for it but decided at the weekend to update it a bit, so now I'm trying to learn it all over again! I know the music well enough to improvise so I'm not that worried. It's hard to practice a convincing looking floaty step when you have about two metres to do it in.
I had a good time at the Natural History Museum last week. I went round the dinosaur section, and marvelled at the animatronic Tyrannosaurus which scared some of the smaller children (and resisted the temptation to say "Yes it is a real one, they've glued it's feet to the floor, which is why it's so cross"). Then it was off to the Earth's Treasures gallery to look at the shiny minerals. Yes, I am a bit of a nerd, and there's probably a very good reason why I go to these things on my own.

WTF does pepperoni pizza have to do with Australia?
My sweet peas have survived flooding, drought and snails, and have finally flowered! They are dark purple and pink.

It's got to that point in term where everybody knows the choreography better than me. Just as well this is the final week!
Programme on BBC4, corsets, right now!
I've got three bags full of shiny!

I love the combination of coin bra and underbust corset in this post. Could I possibly get away with wearing that to the Deloitte ball in September.....?
